Our Interns

Hello, all! I look forward to graduating from Messiah College in May with a degree in public relations. In the meantime, I will be learning new and honing current skills as a writing intern in Bravo Group’s Harrisburg office. While at Messiah, I have played many key roles with our school’s media hub, from online editor all the way up to student director. I also had the opportunity to study abroad in Australia — not a bad gig, if you ask me!

One thing you should know about me: I perceive the phrase “take a hike” literally. Outside the office, you’re guaranteed to find me seeking new trails and planning backpacking trips with friends.

Hello!

I go by Shekie and a senior public relations major at Messiah College. I am the new Public Relations & Communications Intern at the Harrisburg office. I am an international student from Nigeria who is addicted to travel and all things quirky. I love listening and sharing music, so I host a weekly radio show on global songs at school. I have had great internships, working for a magazine in Washington, D.C. and being the social media intern at a public radio station in Nigeria. I talk too much about Asian dramas, food, and have very proudly passed level 2000 playing Candy Crush.

I am really excited about this opportunity to intern at Bravo, getting to learn from the experienced professionals here, and getting to practice all the work I learned in my classes.

Hi there!

I’m one of two PR/communications interns this spring in the Wayne office. I am a senior studying English with minors in communications studies and marketing at Saint Joseph’s University. I’ve taken many opportunities at SJU, including copy editing at the student newspaper, tutoring at the university’s writing center and conducting a summerlong research project to study #climatechange on Twitter. These are positions I’m grateful to have held because they prepared me to continue to build my professional skills here at Bravo Group.
When I am not expanding my knowledge about the PR industry, you can find me practicing mindful meditation, trying to hit as many concerts in Philadelphia as possible and patiently waiting for summer so I can return to my home at the beach in central Jersey.

Hi! I’m Tory, the Pittsburgh public relations intern. In May, I will be graduating from American University with a degree in CLEG: communications, legal institutions, economics and government. This program made me study situations from many perspectives and helped me to diversify my knowledge and skills. During my time in Washington, D.C., I had the pleasure of interning in Sen. Bob Casey’s office on the Hill. This opportunity as a legislative intern gave me a better idea of how the federal government operates and practice in providing details of congressional briefings while giving me a clearer view of which direction to move my career.

In my free time, I usually am recording and producing music, skiing, watching sports and attempting to catch up on almost any HBO series. Having been born and raised in Pittsburgh, I follow the city’s professional sports and enjoy going to games when I can.
